indrei ratiuIndrei Ratiu was born in London on July 12th, 1946 and is the founder of the Ratiu Center for Democracy in Turda. Until his departure in August 2012, Indrei was the head of the Romanian registered foundation and administrator of the family properties in Romania.

Indrei Raţiu is an educator, former journalist and broadcaster (BBC, Rediffusion, London Evening Standard), involved in launching INSEAD’s now world-class Executive Development programs. A former consultant in management development to IBM, Schlumberger, BP, ICI, and the World Bank, Indrei cofounded ICM – InterCultural Management Associates, Paris; Pro Patrimonio (the Romanian Heritage Foundation), Transilvania Fest Association and the Raţiu Center for Democracy, Romania.

A former trustee of the Rainford Trust, UK, he is currently a trustee of the Raţiu Family Charitable Foundation, UK, and a board member of the International School in Cluj, Romania. Indrei holds degrees from Cambridge University and INSEAD.
